I'm looking forward to my first film festival... ever. That's right, with all the movie talk and filmmaking adventures, I have never been to a festival.

But that is all about to change.

I arrived earlier this evening in San Antonio, Texas for Vision Forum Ministries' San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival looking forward to the academy held the first few days, then getting to know some fellow filmmakers during the festival at the end of the week.

A few months ago I downloaded the audio recordings from last year's academy and listened repeatedly to absorb all I could. Now, I get to attend in person and certainly get more out of the sessions just by being there.

As for tonight, I need to get my rest after that incredibly long drive of 770 miles. Whew!
